U.P Police registered case against journalist Zakir Tyagi under Goondas Act

The Uttar Pradesh Police has registered a case against well-known journalist and human rights activist Zakir Ali Tyagi under the Goondas Act.

Zakir Ali Tyagi always raises his voice for human rights and rights, due to which many cases have been registered against him in the past. But this time a case has been registered under Goonda Act.

According to Zakir Ali Tyagi, “UP Police is taking swift action against me, today after going to Meerut court, I have received a notice of “Goonda Act” imposed on me.
Zakir Ali says that I have become a goon in the eyes of UP Police and the real goon is under the protection of power, fight for human rights, maybe any action should be taken now?

Opposing the action taken on journalist Zakir Ali Tyagi, Congress spokesperson Noori Khan says that “Sanghatantra is going on in Gandhi ji’s country, the action of “Gonda Act” done by UP Police on Zakir Ali Tyagi is condemnable.

If the police tell that journalists and activists like Zakir Ali Tyagi will be branded a goonda, then who will fight for the democracy and human rights of this country? The action is condemnable.
