Uttar Pradesh reports 128 new COVID-19 cases in last 24 hours

Lucknow :Uttar Pradesh recorded 128 new cases of coronavirus in the last 24 hours, while 30 people also recovered from the virus, the state government said on Sunday,

Now, only 2254 active cases are left in the state. So far, more than 5.88 crore Covio tests have been carried out in the state. The recovery rate in the state has now increased to 98.5 per cent.

State Additional Chief Secretary information Navneet Sehgal on Sunday said that the strategy adopted against corona infection is paying off at the ground level, as a result of which not a single case of corona infection was reported in 36 districts, while single digit new corona cases were registered in 37 districts.

He said the government is working according to a strategy regarding Delta Plus variant

“So far, the Delta Plus variant has not been confirmed in a single sample taken in the state. Despite this, monitoring and testing of people coming from delta

plus infection states in the state is being done rapidly. The work of genome sequencing is being done rapidly in the districts adjoining other states. Let usI nform that genome sequencing is being done at KGMU In Lucknow and BHU In Varanast,” Mr Sehgel said.

More than one crore vaccination doses have been given to people in the age group of 18 to 44 years in the state So far, people 3,26,00,340 dones, he added

He said through the CM helpline, by establishing contact with the village heads and common people in the state, we were appealing people to get themselves vaccinated

Sehgel said UP is becoming self-sufficient in oxygen availability. Work is being done at a fast pace on 528 oxygen plants in the state, out of which 133 oxygen plants have become functional in the state till date.

in the state 15 per cent oxygen is being suppiled to 3300 beds through oxygen generators. Oxygen generators are being instated in each community health center or district hospital in each district adjoining rural and urban areas.
