Mehta Surgical Raid Case: In the famous Mehta Surgical case of black marketing and hoarding of surgical goods in the era of Corona, the accused have got anticipatory bail. In-charge District and Sessions Judge Umesh Chandra Pandey’s plea for anticipatory bail has been accepted by the court. Also, it has been ordered that if the police arrest the accused, then they should be released on a fine of one lakh.

It is being told that due to the negligence of the police, the accused managed to get bail. After registering a case on many serious charges including the Disaster Act, the police kept on looking for them, while the accused got bail from the court.

On May 12, Mehta Surgical Store was raided by SDM Sadar Vishu Raja along with FSDA officials. During this many flaws were found at the store. After repackaging the PPE kit, he was caught putting a sticker of Rs 19 hundred on it instead of a hundred. The owners of the store were unable to show the bills of the goods kept in the warehouse and the accounts of sales. After this, the SDM had banned the business of Mehta Surgical Store and sealed the warehouse of the store. The SDM office wrote a letter to the Premnagar police instructing them to file a report against Mehta Surgical Store.
