For the first time in corona patients, 5 cases of bleeding through stool were reported, in Delhi Hospital

For the first time, such symptoms have been seen in corona patients which have not been seen anywhere in the country before. On Tuesday, Delhi’s Sir Ganga Ram Hospital was told that after the corona infection was confirmed, some patients have come forward who have complained of bleeding in the stool and abdominal pain. Five cases of rectal bleeding related to cytomegalovirus (CVM) have been reported in Covid-19 patients.

Ganga Ram officials said that these cases have come to the fore in the second wave of infection this year. Sir Ganga Ram Hospital authorities have confirmed that one of the patients has succumbed to massive bleeding and chest ailment.The statement issued by the hospital said that during the second wave of April-May corona, we have seen five cases of CMV infection. After 20 to 30 days of corona infection, these patients complained of bleeding in the stool along with abdominal pain.

These patients were in the age group of 30-70 years of Delhi-NCR. Four patients complained of low gastrointestinal bleeds and one patient complained of visceral bleeds. Of the five patients, two reported massive bleeding, with one requiring emergency life-saving surgery.
