After the first drone terrorist attack on the country, India has become active on every front. On the one hand, the issue of misuse of drones has been raised in the high level conference of the United Nations. India clearly said that the world should pay serious attention to the use of armed drones for terrorist activities. On the other hand, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has called a cabinet meeting. There is every possibility of discussion on the Jammu drone terrorist attack in this meeting to be held on Wednesday.
What did India say at the UN?
A high-level conference of counter-terrorism agencies from around the world was held at the UN. In this, Special Secretary (Internal Security) VSK Kaumudi presented India’s side. Kaumudi said that “misuse of information and communication technology and use of emerging technologies for terrorist activities has emerged as the most serious threat of terrorism”.
The use of drones is worrying. This low cost option is easily available. The use of aerial/sub surface platforms by terrorist groups for their purposes is becoming the biggest threat. This is a challenge for the security agencies.

Kaumudi said that the possibility of using armed drones for terrorist purposes on strategic and commercial locations requires serious attention from all member states. We have seen terrorists cross the border with weapons through drones.
PM called an important meeting
The investigation has been intensified after this first attack of its kind. Top officials of the Indian Air Force will soon give a presentation to Defense Minister Rajnath Singh regarding the attack. At the same time, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has called a cabinet meeting on Wednesday. The meeting is likely to discuss the circumstances arising out of the Jammu terror attack.
