Bihar: A 27-year-old youth, who had gone to steal a man’s house, was beaten to death by villagers on Saturday night in Yadav Tola of Chakai village of Jokihat police station area of Araria district . The deceased Ismail was the son of Shoaib, a resident of Baluwa Tapra Tola of Kursail Panchayat under Mahalgaon police station area. However, after beating the villagers, the youth was admitted to Jokihat Referral Hospital for treatment, where doctors declared him brought dead.
As soon as the incident was reported, the Jokihat police station reached the hospital and investigated the matter. After this, the police took the body in possession and sent it to Araria for post-mortem. During this, the police are interrogating one of the three youths who came to the hospital to get the injured Ismail admitted for treatment.
In relation to the incident, it was told that Ismail had gone to the house of a person to steal in Yadav Tola, ward number 7 of Chakai Panchayat. During this, the villagers, who had gathered on the attack of the home owner, caught Ismail and beat him fiercely. This led to his death. Jokihat police station’s SHO Vikas Kumar Azad said that the police is investigating the matter.
